Northern California and the Bay Area has seen a spurt of murders by a single person who has been called the Stockton serial killer. Suspect Wesley Brownlee had earlier faced three murder charges. Now the number of murders that have taken place by one suspect Brownlee has been increased by four. The alleged Stockton serial killer now faces six murder charges and one attempted murder charge, filed by the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office.
According to KCRA, in October, Wesley Brownlee was charged with the murders of
Jonathan Rodriguez Hernandez on October 30.
Juan Cruz on September 21.
Lawrence Lopez on September 27.
The new charges that are filed include the following:
Juan Alexander Vasquez murdered in Alameda County.
Mervin Harmon murdered in Alameda County.
Salvador Debudey Jr. murdered in San Joaquin County.
Attempted murder of Natasha LaTour again in San Joaquin County.
According to prosecutors, Brown Lee used a ghost gun for three murders. He has also been charged in connection of being a felon and possessing a firearm and ammunition.
KCRA 3 reported that police confirmed that he had a firearm in his waistband when he was caught by them, while driving on Winslow Way and Village Green Drive, on October 15. They also said that he had been wearing dark clothing and had a mask around his neck.
Public records indicate that the alleged Stockton serial killer, Brownlee had a history of criminal activity in California and Arizona. His criminal record was connected to activities such as drug violations and traffic violations including a DUI.
Brownlee, 43 worked as a truck driver and had recently moved to Stockton, California from the Oakland area. He has some relatives in the area and lived on and off in Stockton. He also lived in other cities in the nation. The alleged Stockton serial killer shot most of the men between April 2021 and September 2022, in Stockton.
