King Charles III turned 75 today. The royal family posted a video montage detailing 75 years of the British monarch’s life. The video has photos from when Charles was born up to his coronation as the King and his latest official portrait that was released last week. It includes photos of the late Queen Elizabeth II, Queen Camilla, Princess Diana with Prince William and with Prince Harry. Many web fans have wished him on this momentous occasion.

The official account of King Charles posted the 40-second video filled with photos, some of which brought nostalgia to royal web fans. Buckingham Palace added the caption: “Wishing His Majesty The King a happy 75th birthday.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales—William and Kate also posted three photos as they wished King Charles on his 75th birthday. The first phone was a throwback to a young William with father Charles. The other two included a recent picture of King Charles and a photo of their family that includes their three children watching Trooping the Color in June from the balcony of Buckingham Palace, in London.

King Charles began early birthday celebrations as he attended a special party on November 13. He cut a cake at High Grove Gardens and guests included family, friends and special invitees who are also turning 75 years of age this year.

King Charles is launching a new project called the Coronation Food Project on November 14. The important project launched on a momentous day, his 75th birthday seeks to bridge the gap that exists between food waste and food need. The king has been committed to environmental causes from a young age so it is befitting that this project has been launched at all the four nations in the U.K. on King Charles’ birthday.

King Charles and Queen Camilla are also hosting a party that will include 400 nurses and midwives who work at the National Health Service (NHS). The NHS is also celebrating its 75th birthday this year.

A new five-pound coin will be released to commemorate King Charles’s 75th birthday.
