On Thursday, former President Barack Obama was once again in Georgia, campaigning for Democrat Sen. Raphael Warnock who is facing a run-off against Republican candidate Herschel Walker. A new poll released on Friday showed Warnock had a 4-point advantage over Walker. Although former President Donald Trump mentioned Walker in his campaign speech, weeks earlier, he is not expected to make a personal visit to the Peach State to campaign for the former NFL footballer.
On Friday, CNN released a new poll that placed Warnock four points ahead of Walker. Fifty two percent of those who were polled said that they would vote for Warnock while forty eight percent chose Walker, in the runoff race on December 6, for which early voting has begun.
Nearly all the Democrats surveyed–99 percent said that they were supporting Warnock while a majority of Republicans surveyed–95 percent said that they supported Walker. Georgia has a small number of Independents who are in favor of Warnock, with 61 percent in his favor while 36 favor his opponent Walker.

Earlier on Thursday day, star campaigner of the Democrats former President Barack Obama warmed the crowd with his truthful and funny remarks. He joked about how the opposition candidate Herschel Walker had recently spoken about issues that were of great importance to Georgians “Like whether it’s better to be a vampire or a werewolf.”
Obama mirthfully commented that he had to confess that it had been a debate he once had with himself, when he was seven. He added the punchline, “Then I grew up.”
Obama continued to point at the shortcomings of the Republican candidate including his inexperience. Obama described the former NFL player as “a celebrity who wants to be a politician” and he laughed and added that the nation had “seen how that goes. We’ve seen it before.”
Senator Raphael Warnock, in contrast, is a senior pastor at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, in Atlanta Georgia. Although the Democrats have a majority with Vice President Kamala Harris’ vote as a tiebreaker, a Senate win by Democrat Warnock will give the party a 51-49 majority.
