On Thursday, the Prince and Princes of Wales–William and Kate were in Liverpool and the surrounding areas for their first official event of the year. This is the first time they have been seen this year, and it comes days after Prince Harry released his controversial memoir “Spare.” The younger son of King Charles III and Princess Diana has been courting controversy when he and his wife Meghan Markle, stepped away from royal life and began appearing in interviews, docuseries and more. His Majesty King Charles III also attended an event in Scotland.
In their first official event of 2023, the Prince and Princess of Wales highlighted the work done by healthcare workers as well as mental healthcare workers. They appreciated the services of these dedicated workers through the harsh winter months.
The Prince and Princess visited Royal Liverpool University Hospital, the biggest in the U.K. It replaces an earlier hospital that served the community. The new facility that opened in October 2022 offers specialized services and complex planned care. The royal couple interacted with the staff and took out selfies with them.
They also visited a second location, the Open Door Charity in Birkenhead. They spent time at the colorful Bloom building and learnt about two major programs called Bazaar that helps young adults aged 17 to 25 years old and the Oomoo programs that has been developed for young people in the age group 11 to 18 years old.
Reporters asked the royal pair for comments on Prince Harry’s recent controversial memoir titled “Spare” but Prince Harry and Princess Kate silently continued walking without answering the journalists.
King Charles III was also out on a public appearance, on Thursday. The 74-year-old monarch wore a kilt when he visited Aboyne and Mid Deeside Community Shed that is located in Aberdeen, Scotland. It is an organization that helps local residents improve their health and wellbeing. He also met well-wishers who were gathered outside to meet their King.
