His Majesty King Charles III delivered his Christmas address to Great Britain and other countries. The tradition of the Christmas address to the nation and the commonwealth was first delivered by King George V, in 1932. It has become an important tradition for Great Britain as well as other nations in the commonwealth.
King Charles began his address by saying that he was standing in the historic St. George’s Chapel, at Windsor Castle, which he described as exquisite. There was a Christmas tree in the background that had decorations made with sustainable materials.
He poignantly said that it was close to the place where his beloved parents have been laid to rest. He acknowledged with gratitude the deep love and sympathy that people had sent to him and his family after the recent death of the beloved Queen.
