CWEB is investigating whether Walmart (WMT) is ready to roll out a new 4K Chromecast smart speaker, the Onn “Pro” Google TV 4K streaming box that doubles as a smart speaker. Yesterday, a YouTuber hosted a livestream showing the streaming box he bought in-store at Walmart. It is not yet available online, though rumors of its launch have existed for some time.
YouTube account Superdell-TV hosted a livestream on May 1. He showed his web fans the $50 unit he had purchased from a Walmart store. He said he had the receipt and more and showed the specifications on the box, though he said he had not tried to use it yet.
Walmart already sells a $20 Onn Google TV streaming box online and in-store. Several rumors have been swirling about an upgrade, and the new box shown by the YouTuber might be a high-end version of the earlier model. The earlier Onn box cost less and did not have Dolby Vision, whereas the new version reportedly has a smart speaker.

4K streaming and Chromecast support
Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision support
3GB of RAM
3GB of storage
Wifi 6 support
There are four rear ports, including one HDMI, one USB 3, one ethernet, and a barrel for power.
The Onn Pro looks like a square Google Nest Mini with added features. At $50, it is worth the money, but you might have to wait days or weeks for its official launch.
