Former President Jimmy Carter has entered hospice care. The 39th president of the United States has been a beloved one, across parties. The affable Democrat received well wishes from across the nation which included outpouring and prayers from celebrity stars, present and former politicians and even the Secret Service.
On Saturday, the Carter Center released a statement on President Carter’s health. His grandson Jason Carter said that he saw both of his grandparents and that they were at peace and, as always, their home was full of love and he thanked everyone for their kind words.

Jimmy Carter was born on October 1, 1924 in Plains, Georgia. His parents were Earl and Lillian Carter. He completed his education in Georgia. In 1943, Jimmy Carter received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy, located in Annapolis.
On July 7, 1946, he married Rosalyn Smith of Plains. They moved to Norfolk Virginia. He served in the navy from 1946 to 1952. After his father’s death, Jimmy Carter resigned from the navy and took over the family peanut farm.
Jimmy Carter became a state senator in 1962. He became the governor of the Peach State in 1971, in his second attempt, after he narrowly lost in 1966.

On November 2, 1976, he defeated Gerald Ford and became the 39th president of the United States. He lost his bid for a second term to Ronald Reagan.
In 1982, Jimmy Carter set up the Carter Center in Atlanta. He has written 32 books, was a professor at Emory University and more. On December 10, 2002, he received the Nobel Peace Prize. In October 2022, he celebrated his 98th birthday.
