FBI reports -Rainbow Bridge between US, Canada closed following vehicle explosion
The terror alert level is the highest it has been in years. An explosion in the Niagara Falls area has been reported as an attempted terror attack. Kathy Hochul, the governor of New York, is on her way to the scene.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said, “At my direction, the New York State Police is actively working with the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force to monitor all points of entry to New York. I am traveling to Buffalo to meet with law enforcement and emergency responders and will update New Yorkers when more information becomes available.”
A press conference is likely scheduled for later today. President Biden and the White House have been alerted to the attack.
The FBI has reported that two people were killed and a border patrol officer was injured in the attempted terror attack.
It was reported that the van was heading to Canada. The bridge areas are closed until further notice.
