Celebrity Snoop Dogg performed at an inaugural event before the swearing-in of President Donald Trump as President of the United States and received mixed responses from web fans. The American rapper posted a video on social media saying he was answering negative comments with positive love vibes.
Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., a.k.a. Snoop Dogg posted a video on social media saying, “For all the hate, I’m going to answer with love. I love you too much.” He also reiterated his black identity.
Rapper Snoop Dogg performed at Crypto Ball in Washington DC, on January 18, 2024. The event was not attended by Trump but was a celebration of his victory. It was held at the Andrew W Mellon auditorium and the event was attended by crypto currency moguls and leaders.

Other performers at the Crypto Ball included Soulja Boy and Rick Ross but Snoop Dogg was criticized as he had commented against Trump in the past but had also appreciated him a few years later.
The official website described the Inaugural Crypto Ball as a “celebratory setting intended to honor…America’s first ‘crypto president’, President-elect Donald J. Trump, his incoming cabinet and administration.”
Snoop Dogg had criticized Trump in 2007 as well as in a Trump roast in 2011. He also depicted him in a song called Lavender in 2017. However, in January 2024, he praised President Donald Trump.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, Snoop Dogg said, “Donald Trump?… He ain’t done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris. So, I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump.”
