On Sunday, watchdog group StopAntisemitism posted on social media “Kanye West named 2022 Antisemite of the Year.” Kanye West has won 24 Grammy Awards and also received 10 nominations for Album of the Year. However, the celebrity Donda 2 rapper has been continually passing anti-semitic remarks that has cost him personally as some friends have deserted him and financially as he has lost deals with Adidas, Balenciaga and more and he has now received this dubious honor.
Liora Rez, Executive Direction of StopAntisemitism said that the rapper had used his celebrity platform to “push dangerous antisemitic tropes about Jews and power” and more.

She also added that hatred for Jews was “out of control in the United States” and the last thing the community needed was “a celebrity like Kanye to add fuel to that fire,” according to a report in TMZ.
Kanye West has posted several remarks against the Jewish community in general on social media sites including Instagram and Twitter. Following this, he was suspended from both the sites. Then he was seen on a podcast and a TV interview conducted by conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes.
In an appearance on InfoWars by Alex Jones, Kanye professed his love for “Jewish people” but added that he also “likes Nazis.” He also mentioned that he could see “good things about Hitler.” In his interview with the Proud Boys founder he asked the Jewish people to forgive Hitler.
Kanye has also been seen in the company of Nick Fuentes, who is a known white supremacist. Although he has lost so much personally and professionally: friendships, business partnerships and an honorary degree mainly due to his antisemitic remarks, the popular rapper is staying on course with his remarks whose repercussions could be much more than he might ever realize !
