On Wednesday, a jury in Florida awarded celebrity rapper Flo Rida $82.6 million in damages. The rapper, whose legal name is Tramar Dillard, had sued energy drink maker Celsius for breaching an endorsement deal made by the company with him from 2014 to 2018. The jury also found that Celsius had fraudulently concealed information that was related to the breach.
Law & Crime Network was the first to post the news. The rapper released a statement after winning the lawsuit. He thanked the jury, the judge and his attorneys as well as praised the judicial system.
The rapper, who is known for popular tracks including Right Round and Whistle said in his statement that his journey was long and that he had wanted what he had worked for, “nothing more, nothing less.” He also noted that he had been “instrumental in the Celsius that you know and love today.”

The celebrity rapper filed the lawsuit in 2021. The suit claimed that the energy drink company Celsius owed him millions as stock and royalties under the terms of the deal that was struck between Flo Rida and Celsius. Although the suit didn’t seek a specific amount, his lawyer said that his client had been promised 1 percent ownership.
In his arguments against the energy drink company, Celsius, Flo Rida said that he had “maintained a successful endorsement partnership with Celsius.” In the original complaint, the rapper also said that the partnership had opened “new doors for Celsius and its products.”
Later, Flo Rida’s attorney, John Uustal released a statement that said that they would trust the jury to do the right thing and trust the verdict and would also accept the decision of the jury. He concluded that he was happy that “the jury concluded that Flor Rida should get what he worked for.”
Celsius Inc. Holdings stocks trade at more than $100.
