Celebrity Miley Cyrus won her first Grammy for Flowers at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, and web fans were thrilled. The talented Hannah Montana actress took home two Grammy awards. She won the Best Pop Solo Performance for Flowers and accepted the award from famous singer Mariah Carey. Later, she received Record of the Year as well.
Miley Cyrus has received eight Grammy nominations and won two Grammy awards at the Grammys held in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 4.
Miley Cyrus‘ acceptance speech mentioned how she almost missed the Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles and how she could have missed the award but not Mariah Carey, whom she gushed about. She also mentioned two MCs being together on stage.
Later, she received her second Grammy for Record of the Year. In her acceptance speech, she thanked many people but said that the record “doesn’t change anything because my life was beautiful yesterday.”
The Disney actress did not mention her father, singer Billy Ray Cyrus. This caused some speculation among some web fans on why the Hannah Montana star did not mention him. The American singer and songwriter has also not congratulated her as yet.
Miley Cyrus performed Flowers on stage between the two awards. She glittered in a silver outfit paired with jewelry consisting of long dangling stone earrings. She asked the audience to join her as she sang some of the lyrics. She also changed the lyrics to include her winning the Grammy and sang “Started to cry but then I remembered…I just won my first Grammy.”
After its debut, flowers was at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and took the top spot for eight weeks. It created a Spotify record for most streams in a week and had over 100 million listens. It reached one billion spins in the fastest time.
