Celebrity Lauren Sanchez, the fiancée of Jeff Bezos and the Vice Chair of Bezos Earth Fund, addressed a large group of officials, investors, philanthropists, policymakers, and others at a major climate conference recently held in Miami Beach. This is her first public address after the celebrity couple made Miami Beach, Florida, their new home. Lauren Sanchez shared a video on social media, and web fans showed their appreciation.
Lauren Sanchez spoke at the Aspen Ideas: Climate conference on Tuesday, March 12. The three-day conference focused on finding solutions to combat climate change. As the Vice Chair of the Bezos Earth Fund, Sanchez announced a $60 million investment by the fund.
She said the money would be used to establish Bezos Centers for Sustainable Protein. The center will invest in lab-grown and plant-based meats to make them healthy and cheap so that many web fans can buy tasty, sustainable products.
Months ago, Microsoft founder Bill Gates said it was essential to make plant-based alternatives tasty, as consumers would not adopt healthier and sustainable food options if they were not appetizing.

Sanchez also told the audience, “Trust me, I’ve had them, and you can hardly tell the difference. i really like ‘em.”
Plant-based meats are available throughout the nation and worldwide. Web fans can find brands such as Beyond and Impossible in mainstream grocery stores. However, lab-grown meat is not yet available for sale.
The Bezos Earth Fund had pledged to spend $10 billion by the decade’s end. Of this, $1 billion has been earmarked for agriculture. The $60 million announcement is part of the funding to improve agriculture.
Neither Lauren Sanchez nor the Bezos Earth Fund have mentioned the locations where it would be setting up Bezos Centers for Sustainable Protein. However, as lawmakers have legislated against fake meat, Florida may not be a location.
The Florida Legislature passed a bill that bans the sale of lab-grown meat in Florida. According to the Miami Herald, Governor Ron DeSantis is expected to sign the bill.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos recently moved from Washington to Florida to be close to his parents and his fiancée Lauren Sanchez, who live in the Sunshine State. The couple has been seen in and around the state, but this is the first time Lauren Sanchez has addressed a public gathering in Miami Beach.
