Celebrity actress and model Brooke Shields is well known for the films Pretty Baby and The Blue Lagoon, as well as for her roles in the TV series That ’70s Show, Lipstick Jungle, and Suddenly Susan. The former supermodel did not identify the man who attacked her but claimed to have met him not long after graduating from college, thinking they were meeting for business to discuss casting her in a new film.
Shields recalls a period of professional rejections after graduating from Princeton in 1987 at the age of 22 after she had gained notoriety as a teenage sex symbol for her modeling and roles in movies like Pretty Baby and Blue Lagoon. In the tell-all documentary, she revealed that she eagerly agreed to what she believed to be a work meeting with a man who was involved in the film’s production when she learned that it was being made and that her name was being considered.
However, she claims that what actually occurred was that she was persuaded to go to this man’s hotel room and forced her into sexual intercourse against her will. She stated that he insisted that he would call her a taxi from his room, and both drove back to his hotel.
The celebrity actress said she just shut out the incident from her brain, though she feels that a one ‘no’ from her should have been enough. She did not report the assault. She stated that she wrote to her attacker after the incident. However, the person completely ignored the letter, and eventually, she decided to drop the matter.
Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields is to be released on Hulu in two parts. Part one is about the sexualization the celebrity went through as a young girl. It covers her nude photoshoot at age 10, her part as a child prostitute in the film “Pretty Baby,” the lascivious questions she faced by chat show hosts, her mother’s alcoholism, and her first marriage to Andre Agassi, as well as her friends.
