Celebrity star Anne Heche was critically injured when she crashed her car into a home, in the Mar Vista neighborhood, in Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the crash caused a “heavy fire” that took about an hour to be put out. While Heche has been hospitalized with severe burns, the home owner and her pets are safe as they were in the backyard, when Heche crashed her car, on Friday, just before 11 a.m.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said that the crash that was reported just before 11 a.m., took place in the 1700 block of South Walgrove Avenue, in Mar Vista. The person who was inside the vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital in a critical condition. Almost sixty firemen worked to put out the flames that engulfed the vehicle and the home.
Police said that the driver was speeding in a residential street and crashed into a home. Law enforcement authorities also said that the vehicle, a Mini Cooper that crashed into the home might have hit a curb and was then launched through the front yard and crashed into the home.
Anne Heche is reported to be the car crash victim. The blonde actress began her career in “Another World,” which is a soap opera that won her a daytime Emmy award. She went on to act in several films including “Donny Brasco” and “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and tv shows such as “Chicago PD” and “Men in Trees.” Her most renowned and remembered performance was in “Six Days and Seven Nights” opposite Harrison Ford.
A source close celebrity actor said that Anne Heche is expected to pull through the accident although she is expected to have a long recovery ahead. The star who has admitted to drug and alcohol use in the past might have been the influence, when she crashed.
In the past Anne Heche has also said that she had been molested as a child and it had influenced her life for a long period of time. Her public relationship with Ellen DeGeneres reportedly caused her to lose a lot of acting projects.
The 53-year old celebrity was also married to Coleman Laffoon a former cameraman and a real estate agent and the couple have a son called Homer, who is 20-years old. Anne Heche also has a son called Atlas, 13 with former husband, Canadian celebrity actor James Tupper.
