A terrifying moment was captured on video showing two British tourists racing for their lives before being gunned down in the street in Los Angeles while on vacation. According to authorities, the tourists were standing outside a Venice Beach club on when they got into a violent fight with Brandon Manyo Dixon and his friend.
Dixon then chased the terrified Britons with his revolver, shooting and critically wounding the pair who needed medical treatment while fleeing the scene. The horrifying violence has become all too familiar in Los Angeles, where awake District Attorney George Gascon has been chastised for liberal measures that have failed to reduce the city’s increasing crime rate.
Dixon is seen sprinting after the couple and opening fire from a short distance behind, with one of the victims grasping his chest. Shortly afterward, the shooter shot the other Briton, critically injuring both before fleeing the scene. One of the victims appeared to grip his chest as if shot from behind by the gunman, who is seen fleeing right behind him.
The LAPD has now published CCTV footage in the hopes of apprehending Dixon, who is seen wandering Windward Avenue with his revolver.
Dixon is wanted for attempted murder, and authorities are asking for assistance. They characterize him as armed and dangerous, and they encourage anyone who sees him to phone 911.
So far, police have given little details about the deaths, describing them simply as British tourists. According to the LAPD, the suspect and his companion, and two United Kingdom tourists became embroiled in a verbal argument outside a densely popular bar. The disagreement grew physical and then violent as the culprit rushed after both visitors with a gun.
As the visitors fled, the suspect shot them before fleeing the scene on foot. Both victims had major gunshot wounds and were hospitalized for their injuries. Dixon has been identified as the person engaged in the attempted murder of the victims from the United Kingdom. Dixon should be treated as armed and dangerous.
