Alphabet’s Google (GOOGL) recently launched its newest AI model, Gemini, to the general public. It said that its latest Gemini 1.5 Flash is 20 percent faster than the latest version of ChatGPT developed by OpenAI, ChatGPT-4o. As reported by CWEB earlier, Google announced the newest version of its generative AI model, Gemini, at its I/O developers conference in May.

Google said that its latest Gemini chatbot can analyze an hour of video, 11 hours of audio, or over 700,000 words in a single query instead of web fans breaking their questions into chunks. The tech giant demonstrated its Gemini model by analyzing a 14-minute video in a single minute.

Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurien said, “It’s the fastest model at the best price-to-performance option in the market.”

He also said, “You can reason across an entire company’s history, which could be ten years’ worth of financial statements in one query.”

Google offers its enterprise customers all its AI models with several updates and says that its software bundle is “the most enterprise-ready generative AI platforms.” It has major customers who use its chatbots. Some of them include Uber Eats, Moody’s, and Shutterstock.

Gemini 1.5 Flash
Gemini 1.5 Pro and
Imagen 3—image-generator.

Gemini 1.5 Flash is available as a limited free version for developers. Depending on the data input web fans and companies require, it is available at different price options.

Google also announced that its new updates on Gemini AI have accelerated “grounding” abilities. Gemini AI models now show grounded (attached) answers to a source or link.

The answers also receive a grounding score that indicates their trustworthiness. This is particularly important for financial companies such as Moody’s, a customer of Google’s AI models.

AI has raised Alphabet’s stock value, and CWEB continues to call the stock a buy. Google also said that it is working on new industry-specific grounding tools in the back half of the year that will be a bigger boon to its enterprise customers and web fans.
