Alphabet Inc.’s Google (GOOGL) has launched its Pixel 8a at an affordable price of $499. CWEB had earlier reported that the tech giant was expected to launch this smartphone in May. We can now confirm Pixel 8a features: exclusive general and generative AI. The latest A-series smartphone will also include Google’s AI tool, Gemini Nano, a smaller version of Gemini. The smartphone looks similar to the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, with rounded corners instead of the square edges of the Pixel 7a.
Google said that its new A series phone is the most durable one to date. Its front features Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3. The back is plastic, and the frame is aluminum, both with a smooth matte texture. The phone is IP67 dust—and water-resistant. It is available in four colors: Aloe, Bay, Obsidian, and Porcelain.
