An MRI on Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry’s pelvic area confirmed a contusion but no structural damage, the team announced Friday.

Per the Warriors, Curry will not travel with the team and will sit out the opener of a six-game road trip against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. He will be re-evaluated on Monday.

Curry, 37, underwent an MRI late Thursday night after leaving the Warriors’ 117-114 win over the Toronto Raptors in San Francisco.

Late in the third quarter, Curry dribbled into the lane and was looking to make a pass when he collided with two Toronto defenders and fell on his tailbone area.

He left the game and didn’t return.

Curry finished with 17 points in 25 minutes as the Warriors (41-29) won for the ninth time in 10 games. Golden State is 16-3 since making a trade for Jimmy Butler III, who had a triple-double against Toronto.

In 60 games (all starts) this season, Curry is averaging 24.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.0 assists.

The 11-time All-Star, four-time NBA champion and two-time Most Valuable Player has career averages of 24.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 6.4 assists. He is the NBA’s all-time leader in 3-pointers (4,008) and free-throw percentage (91.1 percent).
