Walmart and National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA) have announced that AutoT, a new digital collectible platform from NECA will be available for the big box retailer’s customers from October, both online as well as in select stores. Exclusive, signed merchandise will be launched this month, using Web3 technology called blockchain.

The unique sale of AutoT will start tomorrow, October 6, online on the Walmart website, while unique collectibles will be available in select brick and mortar stores, across the nation, on October 15. There will be a regular drop of new products online as well as in-store.

Each series of AutoT line that will be available soon at Walmart is based on pop culture. A customer has to buy an AutoT box online or in-store. The Walmart receipt will have a digital code. The customer has to enter the code into the AutoTVault website, following which the collectible item received by them will be revealed.

The AutoT website is based on blockchain technology that is the technology used in Web3. It can track the authenticity and ownership history of collectibles from AutoT. So, customers who are fans of the collectibles can confidently buy, sell or trade their items on the platform.

Collectors of these digital items can store their digital collection in the NECA Vault for up to 24 months. They can also receive the physical item through shipping.

AutoT is debuting with new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle figures. The figures include
Shredder
Renet and
Foot Soldier.

AutoT will also launch the first-of-its kind Bob Ross collectible lithographs. These lithographs are from Bob Ross Inc. The marketplace will also launch new properties as well as collectibles in the next few weeks.

Both Walmart and NECA have expressed their enthusiasm at the launch of this new partnership. It will bring the latest as well as exclusive NECA merchandise to customers of Walmart and offer them a new type of shopping experience through blockchain the technology of Web3.
