Walmart and Sam’s Club are selling many different types of COVID-19 test kits to enable Americans to test themselves at home and then  send the samples to labs. These test kits have a price range from $99 to $135.

There are basic at-home COVID-19 test kits that require a nasal swab or a saliva sample as well as complex kits that can be used to diagnose flu and COVID-19. The built-in price includes shipping the kits to labs.

For a higher price, express shipping is also available enabling the lab to diagnose faster and the consumer receives the results quicker as well.

Walmart said that these tests have received emergency use authorization by the Food and Drug Administration. The results are obtained after samples are tested by authorized labs. There is a strict procedure to be followed to use these kits.

Walmart said that its at-home testing options are the company’s next step forward in their coronavirus testing efforts. Previously, around nine months ago, they began utilizing their parking lots as testing sites. They also provided testing at drive-thru windows in their pharmacies.

According to Walmart the retailer and its partners offer support at almost 600 testing locations across the U.S.
