Vin Diesel has stretched an olive branch to Dwayne Johnson by asking him to star in “Fast and Furious 10.” The upcoming movie is reported to be the last in the franchise. The battle between the two alpha males was at its height during the making of the 2017 The Fate of the Furious and resulted in Johnson leaving the role of Luke Hobbs, which was not included in the ninth series.
On Sunday, Diesel publicly posted on Instagram asking Johnson to come back to the franchise. He requested the star to once again reprise his role as Agent Lucas Hobbs in the two-part finale of the franchise.
Van Diesel addressed Johnson as his little brother and told him that the time had come as the world was waiting for the finale of “Fast 10.” He reminded him of the close bond they shared among their families.
Van Diesel also addressed his promise to Pablo to whom he had said that “they would and manifest the best Fast in the finale.” The late Paul Walker who was a part of the series was affectionately called Pablo.
Diesel also told Johnson that he had a very important role to play and that nobody else could play Hobbs and that he hoped that Johnson would “rise to the occasion” to fulfill his “destiny.”
Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham starred in a spinoff film called “Hobbs and Shaw”, in 2019. Earlier, The Rock had played Luke Hobbs in his debut in “Fast 5” and continued playing the role in the sixth, seventh and eight series of the franchise.
The finale of the Fast and Furious franchise is expected to be released in 2023. Many cast and crew members are expected to return for the finale of the extremely popular franchise. Dwayne The Rock Johnson has not as yet responded to Vin Diesel’s public request.
