Casey Anthony, the mother from Orange County accused of killing her two-year-old, has opened up after eleven years after a trial that took place in 2011. Speaking out, Casey blames her father, George Anthony, for the death of her daughter. On a three-part limited series titled Casey Anthony: Where The Truth Lies, 36-year-old Casey gives an account of the events in an interview in the documentary that premieres November 29 on Peacock.
After her two-year-old daughter Caylee vanished in 2008, Anthony gained worldwide notoriety. The body of Caylee was discovered in a wooded area close to the family home six months after the youngster vanished. She was found not guilty of first-degree murder, severe child abuse, and severe manslaughter of a child on July 5, 2011. However, she was given a four-year prison sentence after being found guilty of four misdemeanor counts of giving false information to law officials. She challenged the convictions and was let out of jail. She now leads a regular life in Florida.
The mother elaborates on claims that she had been sexually abused by her father, George, and her brother, Lee, throughout the course of her in-depth interview. In court, both men had vigorously refuted her allegations; they were never charged. Casey claims in the documentary that her father set up Caylee’s drowning to hide the possibility that he might have been abusing his granddaughter.

According to the documentary, Casey maintains that on June 16, 2008, she dozed off with the toddler was on top of her, only to have George waking her up in the middle and inquiring where Caylee in the middle of the night. Casey claims that Caylee would never leave a room without informing her, thus it did not make sense for her to be gone.
She asserts that George eventually gave her Caylee’s lifeless body, which was icy and damp, and that he informed Casey that she was to blame. Casey then alleges that he took Caylee’s body and vanished. After all these years, Casey has a theory: George allegedly drowned Caylee in their above-ground pool after suffocating her with a pillow to put her to sleep.
Given that there was no ladder, Casey claims she does not think Caylee could enter on her own. Various reports say that Casey said she thinks her father moved on to her child and tried to cover it up by getting rid of Caylee and accusing Casey of being the perpetrator.

Why Casey waited so long to report Caylee missing? She claims it’s because she believed she was still alive, was ostensibly in denial that she had passed away, and was purportedly acting in accordance with her father’s instructions afterward. Casey never took the stand during the trial and has never spoken out publicly, until now.
