Devin McGlockton scored 19 points and pulled down eight rebounds as Vanderbilt routed The Citadel 105-53 on Wednesday in Nashville.

The Commodores (10-1) never trailed, had a 35-2 edge in points off turnovers and shot 55.9 percent from the floor.

Vanderbilt, riding a four-game winning streak, topped its win total from last season and posted a season high in points scored and a season low in points allowed. The Commodores topped 100 points for the first time since the season opener.

Jason Edwards added 19 points for Vanderbilt. AJ Hoggard scored 13 points and dished out eight assists, Jaylen Carey scored 12 points and Tyler Nickel had 11.

The Citadel (5-6) was led by Colby McAllister, who scored 15 points. Brody Fox, who came in averaging a team-best 17.6 points, finished with nine, going 2-for-8 from the field and 5-for-12 from the foul line.

The Bulldogs, who hit 16 of 35 3-point attempts in a Monday loss to Central Arkansas, went 7 of 26 from long distance on Wednesday and turned the ball over 20 times.

Vanderbilt had its first 30-point lead when Nickel hit a 3-pointer with 18:46 left.

An MJ Collins dunk with 9:59 to go pushed the lead over 40 (73-32).

The margin hit 50 on a dunk by Chris Manon with 3:13 left.

Vanderbilt led 49-21 at halftime thanks to Edwards’ 14 points off the bench.

The Citadel slowed the pace and switched between man and zone defense, but that didn’t prevent Vanderbilt from scoring the game’s first seven points as part of a 28-6 run to start the game.

The Commodores had a 10-1 edge in first-half takeaways, outscoring the Bulldogs 19-0 off those plays. Vanderbilt shot 8-for-14 from 3-point range in the first half.

Vanderbilt freshman Tyler Tanner finished with seven points, three assists and two steals. He has 23 assists and 28 steals on the season, and has yet to commit a turnover.
