1. Futures Edge Lower
U.S. stock futures dipped slightly on Tuesday following strong performances by the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite at the start of the trading week.

Current Futures Data (as of 03:28 ET):

S&P 500 Futures: Down 5 points (-0.1%)
Nasdaq 100 Futures: Down 27 points (-0.1%)
Dow Jones Futures: Down 31 points (-0.1%)

Market Highlights:

The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite touched over one-week highs Monday.
Tech stocks led the rally, supported by Microsoft’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) $80 billion AI-driven data center investment announcement.
Semiconductor stocks surged:

Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) and AMD (NASDAQ:AMD) gained over 3%.
Micron Technology (NASDAQ:MU) spiked by more than 10%.
The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose 2.84%.

Despite Monday’s gains, concerns linger over high valuations, elevated U.S. Treasury yields, and thin liquidity.

2. Trump Denies Tariff Policy Softening
Reports from the Washington Post suggested the Trump team might scale back its broad tariff plans, sparking Wall Street optimism. However, President-elect Trump denied these claims, reaffirming his commitment to comprehensive tariff measures.

Market Reaction:

Automakers like Ford (NYSE:F) and General Motors (NYSE:GM) benefited from the initial report but may face uncertainty following Trump’s denial.
Investors remain cautious about potential trade policy shifts and their implications for global markets.

3. Nvidia Unveils AI-Enhanced RTX Chips
At the CES 2025 tech conference, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang introduced the new RTX 50 series of gaming graphics processing units (GPUs) and provided updates on its AI initiatives.

RTX 50 Series Features:

Offers twice the performance of the RTX 40 series.
Enhanced with AI capabilities for superior graphics rendering.

AI Innovations:

Nvidia’s Blackwell AI servers are now in full production.
Introduced Cosmos foundation models for hyper-realistic video generation to train robots and self-driving cars.

Nvidia’s announcements reinforce its position as a leader in both gaming and AI technologies, driving investor confidence and sector-wide gains.
