Ukrainian refugee, who was in a relationship with UK security guard working at an NHS drop-in center, has now accused him of treating her like a “dogsbody,” after being dumped by him. However, the security guard, who happens to be the father of two small girls, has accused her of being unable to handle liquor and of damaging a wall of their rented home.
Tony Garnett, a resident of the UK, had signed up for the Government refugee homing scheme in the UK, as the Ukraine war intensified. He was introduced to Sofiia Karkadym, an IT manager in Ukraine, on Facebook and he offered to become her sponsor under the Homes for Ukraine scheme. On May 4, Sofiia finally reached Manchester and moved in with Tony and Lorna who lived in Bradford, West Yorks. The couple made room for her by moving the girls together. While living under the same roof, both supposedly fell in love with each other and ran away together, leaving Lorna and the children alone.
Since then, Tony is the subject of a restraining order from Lorna. Following the issuance of a restraining order, Tony is no longer permitted to speak with Lorna, the mother of his two young kids, or be within 100 meters of their former family home. Following a court proceeding where Lorna claimed Tony sent her abusive text messages, the order was issued. The non-molestation restraining order, which Tony consented to without making any declarations, forbids him from contacting Lorna by phone, text, email, or social media, according to the Sun.
However, Sofiia maintains her defiance, declaring that she is happy that he was no longer a part of her life. She revealed to The Sun that she genuinely loved him and had believed they would spend the rest of their lives together and have kids. She believes that the stress affected him.
Sofiia added that Tony wasted his money by gambling, losing £500 in one day while playing an online casino game, and accused him of treating her like a dogsbody. She said that he was aware that she had no money, nowhere to go, and no other friends in the nation when he threw her out. She says it would be a hard path, but she will eventually rebuild her life and will be delighted Tony is not a part of her life.
