Jordan Ta’amu passed for 308 yards and three touchdowns in leading the DC Defenders to a 37-33 fourth-quarter comeback win against the Arlington Renegades on Sunday in Arlington, Texas.

After falling behind 33-22 early in the fourth quarter, the Defenders (4-1) went to work. Ta’amu drove the offense 65 yards in 11 plays, culminating in the quarterback’s 2-yard touchdown scamper and 2-point conversion throw to Javon Antonio.

Ta’amu, who also led DC in rushing (37 yards on eight attempts), followed that up with a seven-play, 46-yard touchdown drive, ending in Deon Jackson’s 2-yard TD run with 57 seconds left.

DC wrapped up the win when Josh Proctor notched an interception against Arlington quarterback Luis Perez with 10 seconds left in the DC end zone.

Perez threw for 268 yards with a first-quarter touchdown and Kalen Ballage rushed for 79 yards and a second-quarter touchdown for the Renegades (3-2).
