UConn holds at No. 1 as top seven teams unchanged

UConn remained at No. 1 and the top seven teams were unchanged in the Associated Press Top 25 women’s college basketball poll released on Monday.

The defending national champion Huskies (10-0) received 24 of the 32 first-place votes after routing then-No. 16 Southern California 79-51 on Saturday in Los Angeles.

No. 2 Texas (12-0) received the other eight votes. South Carolina (10-1), UCLA (9-1), LSU (11-0), Michigan (9-1) and Maryland (12-0) also held steady.

No. 8 Oklahoma (11-1) and No. 9 TCU (11-0) switched places and Iowa State (12-0) held firm at No. 10.

Louisville (10-3) climbed six places to No. 16, while North Carolina (9-3) slipped six spots to No. 18 and the Trojans (7-3) fell three spots to No. 19.

No. 25 Princeton (10-1) broke into the rankings and Oklahoma State (10-2) dropped out.
