UBS Group AG (UBS) Nasdaq recruited a team managing $1.5 billion from  Alliance Bernstein. UBS recruited 17 members of   A Merrill Lynch team that reportedly managed nearly $11 billion in assets.

UBS is the world’s largest and only truly global wealth manager.  Shareholders confirmed the re-election of the Chairman and the members of the Board of Directors. They elected Mark Hughes and Nathalie Rachou as new members of the Board. They approved a dividend distribution of USD 0.365 per share and a special dividend reserve of USD 0.365 per share.

UBS Group is setting up a fintech venture capital fund as it seeks to upgrade its technology, Bloomberg reports. Funded by hundreds of millions of dollars of the Swiss bank’s own money, the effort could yield technology that streamlines work for UBS’s financial advisors, who number about 6,500 in the Americas.

Reported by Bloomberg, UBS Group is setting up a fintech venture capital fund to upgrade its technology. UBS Group fintech firms fund will make investments from $10 million to $20 million in dozens of companies.
