Venture capital firm Benchmark Capital is suing former Uber Chief Executive Officer Travis Kalanick to force him off the board of the ride-services company and rescind his ability to fill three board seats, according to the lawsuit.
Benchmark Capital and Travis Kalanick just went balistic, with the venture capital firm suing the former Uber CEO for fraud, breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty.
Per the complaint, Kalanick currently holds around a 10% equity stake in Uber, which most recently was valued at around $70 billion. Benchmark holds approximately 13 percent.
