Oso Ighodaro scored 19 points and Olivier-Maxence Prosper added 17 as No. 25 Marquette handed sixth-ranked UConn its third loss in four games, 82-76, on Wednesday night in Milwaukee.
Kam Jones added 15 points for Marquette (14-4, 6-1 Big East), which has won five straight since a 103-98 double-overtime loss at No. 19 Providence.
UConn (15-3, 4-3) was coming off a 69-60 victory over Creighton after back-to-back road losses to Xavier and Providence.
Freshman Donovan Clingan had 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks for the Huskies. Alex Karaban added 17 points and Adama Sanogo had 10.
No. 1 Houston 83, South Florida 77
Marcus Sasser poured in a career-high 31 points that included six 3-pointers as the Cougars did just enough in the second half to beat the visiting Bulls in an American Athletic Conference matchup.
The Cougars (17-1, 5-0 AAC) were up by just a point at halftime and trailed by five with 14:26 to play but rallied with a 10-0 run to go up 58-53. Jamal Shead added 20 points for the Cougars while Tramon Mark scored 13.
Tyler Harris rang up a career-best 31 points, and Russel Tchewa and Jamir Chaplin added 14 points each for South Florida (7-10, 0-4), which has dropped four consecutive games.
No. 4 Alabama 84, No. 15 Arkansas 69
Mark Sears scored 26 points and Noah Clowney added 15 as the Crimson Tide remained perfect in SEC play with a road victory over the Razorbacks at Fayetteville, Ark.
Brandon Miller scored 14 points, all in the second half for the Crimson Tide (14-2, 4-0 SEC), who have won five consecutive games overall. Alabama is in its second stint as the No. 4 team in the country.
Davonte Davis scored 16 points with 10 rebounds for the Razorbacks (12-4, 1-3), who lost consecutive games for the first time this season. Jalen Graham also had 16 points, while Ricky Council IV added 15 points for Arkansas, which lost for the first time in nine home games.

Timmy Allen scored 17 points and Sir’Jabari Rice added 15 — including three key free throws in the final 6.2 seconds — as the Longhorns roared back to top the Horned Frogs in Austin, Texas.
Dylan Disu added 14 points on 7-of-7 shooting and Marcus Carr hit for 11 for the Longhorns (14-2, 3-1 Big 12).
Emanuel Miller led all scorers with 21 points while Mike Miles Jr. added 16 for the Horned Frogs (13-3, 2-2).
No. 12 Xavier 90, Creighton 87
Souley Boum had a game-high 26 points and the Musketeers used a late second-half rally to beat the visiting Bluejays in Cincinnati.
Colby Jones added 20 points while Jack Nunge had his fourth double-double, scoring 15 points and grabbing 12 rebounds for the Musketeers (14-3, 6-0 Big East), who won their 10th straight and extended their best-ever start in conference play.
Baylor Scheierman had a team-high 25 points for Creighton (9-8, 3-3), which lost its second straight after a three-game winning streak. Ryan Nembhard scored 17 points and Ryan Kalkbrenner had 15 for the Bluejays.

Isaiah Wong scored a game-high 22 points as the Hurricanes defeated the visiting Eagles in an ACC game.
Miami (14-2, 5-1) also got the seventh double-double by Norchad Omier, who had 13 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Jordan Miller added 19 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals. Harlond Beverly had his best game of the season with 15 points, five assists and two steals. He made 6 of 7 shots, including 2 of 2 on 3-pointers.
Boston College (8-9, 2-4) lost to Miami for the fourth straight time. The Eagles were led by DeMarr Langford Jr.’s 20 points, including an emphatic fast-break dunk over Bensley Joseph. It was a season high in points for Langford, who added a game-high six assists. Makai Ashton-Langford — DeMarr’s brother — added 19 points for the Eagles.
Texas A&M 82, No. 20 Missouri 64
Tyrece Radford scored 16 points and dished out six assists to lead the Aggies past the Tigers in College Station, Texas.
Dexter Dennis had 13 points and 12 rebounds and Henry Coleman III had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Aggies (11-5, 3-0 Southeastern Conference). Wade Taylor IV scored 14 points, Hayden Hefner had 12 and Julius Marble added 11 as Texas A&M won its fifth straight game.
Kobe Brown led Missouri (13-3, 2-2) with 12 points. D’Moi Hodge scored 10 points before fouling out and DeAndre Gholston added 10.
No. 22 College of Charleston 71, UNC Wilmington 69
Dalton Bolon scored 16 points and the Cougars needed a late response to top the host Seahawks in Wilmington, N.C., in a battle of the nation’s two longest winning streaks entering the night.
Ante Brzovic and Ryan Larson both scored 13 points and Ben Burnham had 12 points for Charleston (17-1, 5-0 Colonial Athletic Association), which owns the longest winning streak in the nation at 16 games.
UNCW (14-4, 4-1) entered with the nation’s second-longest winning streak at 13. Trazarien White and Jamarii Thomas both had 16 points, Amari Kelly notched 13 points and Maleeck Harden-Hayes contributed 12 points for the Seahawks.
No. 24 Duke 77, Pitt 69
Kyle Filipowski’s 28 points and 15 rebounds helped power the Blue Devils’ second-half comeback in a victory against the visiting Panthers at Durham, N.C.
Duke turned a 12-point hole into a nine-point lead in a sterling second-half stretch. Tyrese Proctor notched 14 points and Mark Mitchell added 10 for Duke (13-4, 4-2 ACC). The Blue Devils used a 15-0 second-half run to storm into the lead. The Panthers were mired in a scoring drought of nearly seven minutes. It was 59-52 before Pittsburgh broke the string.
Jamarius Burton scored 16 points to lead Pitt (11-6, 4-2). Nelly Cummings scored 14 points, Nike Sibande added 11 and Blake Hinson had 10 points for the Panthers, who were coming off Saturday’s narrow home loss to Clemson.
