KJ Adams Jr. knocked down a short bank shot with 11.7 seconds left to give No. 2 Kansas a 62-60 win over No. 14 Iowa State in a Big 12 showdown Saturday afternoon at Lawrence, Kan.
Gradey Dick made five 3-pointers while scoring 21 points as the Jayhawks (16-1, 5-0 Big 12) won their 10th consecutive game. Jalen Wilson contributed 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Adams scored 15 points as Kansas took over sole possession of first place in the Big 12.
Gabe Kalscheur scored 23 points and Osun Osunniyi had 14 on 7-of-10 shooting before fouling out for the Cyclones (13-3, 4-1), who had a six-game winning streak halted.
The Jayhawks got the winning points on a play in which Adams received the ball on the right side of the lane and was able to shed the defensive coverage of Robert Jones to score the go-ahead basket.
No. 4 Alabama 106, LSU 66
Brandon Miller scored 31 points and led a team-wide 3-point barrage as the Crimson Tide crushed the Tigers in an SEC matchup at Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Miller had 22 first-half points as the Crimson Tide (15-2, 5-0 SEC) raced to a 37-point halftime lead and led by as many as 43 in the opening 20 minutes. Miller finished 11 of 16 from the floor overall and 7 of 11 on 3-pointers as Alabama made 20 of its 54 shots from distance (37.0 percent).
KJ Williams and Cam Hayes scored 10 points each to lead the Tigers (12-5, 1-4), who lost their fourth consecutive game.
Kentucky 63, No. 5 Tennessee 56
Antonio Reeves scored a team-high 18 points off the bench and Oscar Tshiebwe recorded his 50th career double-double as the visiting Wildcats stunned the Volunteers in Knoxville, Tenn.
Tshiebwe scored 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the unranked Wildcats (11-6, 2-4 Southeastern Conference), who came into the game as significant underdogs after losing their previous two games. CJ Fredrick also finished in double figures for the Wildcats with 13 points.
The loss ended a 25-game home winning streak for the Vols (14-3, 4-1), who got a huge game out of Uros Plavsic (career-high 19 points).
No. 7 UCLA 68, Colorado 54
Jaime Jaquez Jr. did it all with 23 points, 13 rebounds, five blocked shots and four steals to help the host Bruins rally for a victory over the Buffaloes in Pac-12 play in Los Angeles.
Jaylen Clark recorded 18 points, eight rebounds and three steals for UCLA (16-2, 7-0 Pac-12), which won its 13th consecutive game. The Bruins overcame a nine-point second-half deficit with a massive 17-0 run and outscored Colorado 30-5 over a stretch of nearly nine minutes.
KJ Simpson scored 17 points and Javon Ruffin added 11 for the Buffaloes (11-8, 3-5), who lost their second straight after winning seven of their previous eight contests. Tristan da Silva had 10 points and J’Vonne Hadley collected 10 rebounds and four steals.
No. 8 Gonzaga 115, Portland 75
Malachi Smith came off the bench and scored a game-high 27 points as the Bulldogs rolled past the Pilots in a West Coast Conference game in Spokane, Wash.
Drew Timme added 18 points for the Bulldogs (16-3, 5-0 WCC), who won their 11th consecutive game. Julian Strawther scored 14, Nolan Hickman 13 and Anton Watson and Ben Gregg had 12 apiece. Smith, a transfer from Chattanooga who was the Southern Conference’s player of the year last season, shot 7 of 10 from beyond the 3-point line and had a team-high eight rebounds and five assists.
Moses Wood led Portland (9-11, 1-4) with 19 points and Kristian Sjoland added 17 points and 12 rebounds. The Pilots lost for the sixth time in their past seven games.
Oregon 87, No. 9 Arizona 68
Jermaine Couisnard scored 27 points and N’Faly Dante had 22 points and 10 rebounds to lift the host Ducks to a blowout victory over the Wildcats in Eugene.
Cousinard made 9 of 14 shots from the floor — including 6 of 9 from 3-point range. Dante sank 9 of 11 shots from the floor and added three steals and two blocks for the Ducks (10-8, 4-3 Pac-12), who have won six in a row at home against the Wildcats. Oregon’s last loss to Arizona in Eugene came on Jan. 8, 2015.
Kylan Boswell scored 15 points off the bench and Azuolas Tubelis added 14 for the Wildcats (15-3, 4-3), who have lost two of their last three games following a 14-1 start to the season.
No. 10 Texas 72, Texas Tech 70
Marcus Carr scored 20 points and Sir’Jabari Rice added 18 — including five free throws in the final 21 seconds — as the Longhorns rallied for a home win over the Red Raiders in Austin, Texas.
Texas Tech was up by as many as 12 points in the first half and by nine at halftime before the Longhorns rallied and took a six-point lead with 10:31 to play. Timmy Allen added 17 points for the Longhorns (15-2, 4-1 Big 12), who have won three straight games and are 8-1 under interim coach Rodney Terry.
Pop Isaacs led all scorers with 23 points while Harmon had 13, and Jaylon Tyson and Fardaws Aimaq had 12 points each for Texas Tech (10-7, 0-5), which has dropped five straight games.

Armaan Franklin scored 20 points to lead No. 13 Virginia over host Florida State in Atlantic Coast Conference action in Tallahassee.
Franklin made 4 of 7 3-point attempts and the Cavaliers (13-3, 5-2 ACC) shot 50 percent from behind the arc (11 of 22) to win their third straight game. Ben Vander Plas added 15 points and Kihei Clark had nine points, six assists and five rebounds.
Matthew Cleveland had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Seminoles (5-13, 3-4), who lost for the first time in four ACC home games. It was Cleveland’s seventh-straight double-double, the longest streak by a Florida State player since Reggie Royals 51 years ago.
NC State 83, No. 16 Miami 81
Ernest Ross made a late layup and a free throw in overtime and the host Wolfpack upset the Hurricanes in Atlantic Coast Conference action in Raleigh, N.C.
Ross had 17 points on 8-of-10 shooting and his crucial bucket in the paint with 30 seconds left gave the Wolfpack (14-4, 4-3 ACC) the lead for good. Terquavion Smith scored 20 points to lead the Wolfpack and DJ Burns Jr. had 13 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.
Isaiah Wong led Miami (14-3, 5-2) with 25 points, while Norchad Omier had 13 points, 13 boards and five blocks. Jordan Miller had 13 points and Bensley Joseph added 11.
No. 17 TCU 82, No. 11 Kansas State 68
Emanuel Miller scored a season-high 23 points as the host Horned Frogs snapped the Wildcats’ nine-game winning streak in Big 12 play at Fort Worth, Texas.
Eddie Lampkin had 17 points, Mike Miles Jr. recorded his first career double-double with 13 points and 11 assists, and Damion Baugh added 11 points for the Horned Frogs (14-3, 3-2 Big 12). All that overcame a 3-of-19 performance from 3-point range for TCU, which used a 13-2 first-half spurt to take control.
Keyontae Johnson had 18 points to lead Kansas State (15-2, 4-1), which hadn’t lost since falling to Butler on Nov. 30.
Vanderbilt 97, No. 15 Arkansas 84
Jordan Wright scored 13 of his 17 points during a decisive second-half run that propelled the Commodores past the Razorbacks in Southeastern Conference play.
After a tension-filled first half, Vanderbilt (9-8, 2-2 SEC) caught fire from the field in a 63-point second half that was sparked by a 20-3 run. The Commodores were 18 of 26 (69.2 percent) from the field after halftime, including a 6 for 9 showing from long range. Overall, the team was 10 of 18 (55.6 percent) from distance.
Tyrin Lawrence led the Commodores with 22 points while Ricky Council IV scored 24 points and Anthony Black had 18 to carry the Razorbacks (12-5, 1-4), who lost for the fourth time in five games.
Indiana 63, No. 18 Wisconsin 45
Jalen Hood-Schifino scored 16 points, Trayce Jackson-Davis collected a double-double and the Hoosiers used an 18-2 run to start the second half to topple the Badgers in Bloomington, Ind.
Jackson-Davis finished with 18 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks for the Hoosiers (11-6, 2-4 Big Ten). Jordan Geronimo added his own double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds as Indiana snapped a three-game losing streak.
Connor Essegian came off the bench to score 14 points for the Badgers (11-5, 3-3), who dropped their third straight game. Leading scorer Tyler Wahl (ankle) has missed all three games.
Creighton 73, No. 19 Providence 67
Ryan Kalkbrenner scored 13 of his game-high 21 points in the second half to lead the Bluejays past the Friars in Omaha, Neb.
Trey Alexander had 20 points and Baylor Scheierman added 19 before fouling out in the final minute for the Bluejays (10-8, 4-3 Big East). Bryce Hopkins had 20 points and 10 rebounds for Providence (14-4, 6-1), which had a nine-game winning streak halted. Fourteen of his points were in the second stanza.
The Bluejays broke a 56-56 game with six straight points, including three Kalkbrenner free throws. The 7-foot-1 center brought Creighton into the final media timeout with a 65-58 lead after a transition layup at the 4:02 mark.
Florida 73, No. 20 Missouri 64
Will Richard led three scorers in double figures with 18 points, lifting the host Gators over the Tigers in Gainesville.
Colin Castleton added 16 points, 13 rebounds and six assists for the Gators (10-7, 3-2 SEC), who picked up their third straight win and first victory against a ranked team under first-year coach Todd Golden. Riley Kugel chipped in with 13 points off the bench for Florida and Myreon Jones had a strong effort off the bench with eight points, four rebounds and five assists.
Kobe Brown led Missouri (13-4, 2-3) with 21 points as the Tigers dropped their second straight game.
No. 21 Auburn 69, Mississippi State 63
Behind a season-high 21 points from Jaylin Williams, the Tigers extended their home-winning streak to 28 games with a victory over the Bulldogs.
Williams had a team-high 15 points (6-for-9 from the field) in the first half for Auburn (14-3, 4-1 SEC). He finished 8 of 15 from the floor for the game, including 5 of 7 from the 3-point line, before fouling out with 2:34 to go in the game.
Tolu Smith had team highs in points (20) and rebounds (10) for Mississippi State (12-5, 1-4), who was 0-for-18 from behind the arc for the game.
No. 22 College of Charleston 78, Elon 60
Dalton Bolon scored 21 points and the Cougars put together a strong second half to rebuff the Phoenix’s upset bid at Charleston, S.C.
The College of Charleston (18-1, 6-0 Colonial Athletic Association) used a 13-0 run early in the second half to wipe out a small deficit to extend its nation-leading winning streak to 17 games.
Elon’s Max Mackinnon collected 17 points and 13 rebounds in his second game back from a brief injury absence. The Phoenix (2-16, 0-5), who haven’t defeated a Division I opponent this season, committed 20 turnovers.
New Mexico 76, No. 23 San Diego State 67
Jaelen House scored a season-high 29 points to help the visiting Lobos upset the Aztecs in a Mountain West Conference game in San Diego.
Jamal Mashburn Jr. scored 22 points, Javonte Johnson scored a season-high 10 points, and Morris Udeze finished with 10 points and 15 rebounds for New Mexico (16-2, 3-2 MWC).
Matt Bradley scored 14 points. Adam Seiko had 13 points off the bench and Keshad Johnson finished with 10 points for San Diego State (13-4, 4-1), which had won six in a row to move back into the AP top 25 this week.
Clemson 72, No. 24 Duke 64
PJ Hall scored 26 points as the host Tigers won their seventh straight game, notching a mild upset victory over the No. 24 Blue Devils for the 400th win in coach Brad Brownell’s career.
Hall shot 10 of 16 from the floor and posted four rebounds to lead Clemson (15-3, 7-0 ACC). The win over Duke (13-5, 4-3 ACC) gives Clemson its best start in conference play ever; the Tigers had never been 7-0 in ACC play.
Kyle Filipowski powered Duke with 18 points on 8-of-22 shooting to go along with 14 boards. Tyrese Proctor chipped in 17 points.
