Friday’s game between the host Detroit Tigers and the Colorado Rockies was postponed due to inclement weather in the area.
It will be made up Saturday as part of a split doubleheader. The originally scheduled game will remain at 1:10 p.m. ET, while Friday’s game was rescheduled for 6:40 Saturday.
The Tigers were set to start left-hander Tarik Skubal (0-1, 3.72 ERA) against Rockies right-hander Antonio Senzatela (1-0, 2.16 ERA) on Friday. The teams’ pitching plans for Saturday’s games were unknown.
Tigers star Miguel Cabrera stands at 2,999 career hits, with his approach of 3,000 drawing scores of fans to Comerica Park. After the Tigers’ three-game home series with Colorado, they are scheduled to hit the road for three games at the Minnesota Twins and three at the Los Angeles Dodgers.
