Thunder waive forward Eugene Omoruyi

About two weeks after the Oklahoma City Thunder signed forward Eugene Omoruyi to a standard contract, they have released him.

Omoruyi, who played in 23 games for the Thunder this season, coming off the bench in all but two of them, was averaging 4.9 points and 2.3 rebounds in just under 12 minutes.

The 6-foot-7 Omoruyi went undrafted and signed a two-way contract with Dallas in July 2021 but appeared in just four games before he was waived in late December that year.

In July, he signed a two-way deal with the Thunder, who converted it to a regular contract on Feb. 10.
