The Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday exercised their third-year contract options on forward Ousmane Dieng, forward/center Chet Holmgren and guard/forward Jalen Williams, and fourth-year contract options on guards Josh Giddey and Tre Mann.
Dieng, 20, appeared in 39 games (one start) during his rookie season with the Thunder and averaged 4.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 14.6 minutes. The France native was selected 11th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks on behalf of the Thunder, who traded multiple picks to New York for Dieng.
Holmgren, 21, was the second overall pick in the 2022 draft. The Gonzaga product is set to make his NBA debut during the 2023-24 season after missing last season with a Lisfranc injury in his right foot.
Williams, 22, was runner-up in Rookie of the Year voting after he appeared in 75 games (62 starts) last season and averaged 14.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.4 steals in 30.3 minutes. He was selected 12th overall in the 2022 draft out of Santa Clara.
Giddey, 21, averaged 16.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and 6.2 assists in 31.1 minutes last season. He was the sixth overall selection in the 2021 draft.
Mann, 22, entering his third season with the Thunder, has started 31 of his 127 career games, averaging 9.0 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 20.1 minutes. The Thunder chose him with the 18th overall selection in the 2021 draft out of Florida.
