You dont ever want to have photos of your children on the news because there was a shooting at their school. Unfortunately, this is becoming a common occurrence. Children are supposed to be safe in their classrooms in the United States, but the dangers of a lone shooter are now a common reality.
In a tragic event, eight persons, including at least two kids, have been taken to a nearby hospital, according to a statement made by St. Louis Public Schools earlier on Monday. Police have also been called to the location. A suspect was in custody, according to the St. Louis Police Department, which also acknowledged that its officers had responded to a “active shooting event.” Police reported there were nine total victims in the shooting.
The third victim, a female, was not identified by the police, and neither were her age or her connection to the institution.
Both victims of gunshot wounds–a woman who passed away in a hospital and an adolescent girl who was found dead inside a school–were female. Unknown but thought to be in his 20s, the suspect was shot inside the school and later declared dead at a hospital.
After nine in the morning, a shooting was reported at Arsenal Street and South Kings Highway. Police claimed that the school’s doors were shut on Monday morning and that seven security personnel were there, but they would not say how the shooter entered the structure.
The school principal announced the code word that denotes the presence of a school shooter over the loudspeaker around 9 a.m., according to math instructor David Williams. Williams heard several gunshots outside his classroom, and the door’s window was shot out. You’re all going to (expletive) die, a man then said.
