Frank Langella has been fired from  Netflix’s The Fall Of The House Of Usher due to a sexual misconduct  allegation and investigation. The show will recast the role with another actor- yet to be determined. The series is based on an Edgar Allan Poe book. It was first published in 1839 in Burton’s Gentleman’s Magazine

Frank Langella who is now 84 Langella received a Best Actor Oscar nomination for the role of President Richard Nixon in the 2008 movie Frost/Nixon.

The allegation is about a claim that he touched a female across leg and said” Do you like that?” In a jokingly manner. The actor was also accused of also telling   jokes that had sexual tones to them for which some people found offensive on the set

It was reported that  Netflix’s The Fall Of The House Of Usher eight-episode mini-series was halfway through production. The series will now be reshot with another actor that Langella was in.

The eight part series is produced by Mike Flanagan’s and Trevor Macy’s Intrepid Pictures for Netflix
