Walt Disney (NYSE:DIS) Disney Chairman Bob Iger has resigned from Gov. Gavin Newsom’s COVID-19 recovery task force. He came head to head with Governor Gavin Newsom not opening up Disney theme parks in California. The economy has been devastated, especially in Anaheim. Many businesses in the Anaheim area that rely on tourists and visitors to the Disney theme park are suffering and have closed.
The California attractions and parks Association that represents Disney wasn’t happy with the new rules that the state was implementing that would require them to reopen only at 25% capacity and limit the number of visitors to the theme park from a particular distance from the location in Anaheim California.
