Tadej Pogacar continued his strong run in the mountains Sunday with a 15th stage victory to continue his hold on the yellow jersey at the Tour De France at Plateau de Beille in the Pyrenees of France.

With six stages left, the Slovenia national finished one minute, eight seconds ahead of Jonas Vingegaard, extending his advantage over the Dane to three minutes and nine seconds going into a rest day Monday.

Pogacar made his move with about 5.4 kilometers left, matching Vingegaard’s pace over the previous 6 kilometers and then accelerating to an even faster rate, leaving him comfortably ahead by the end.

Remco Evenepoel, of Belgium, finished the stage in third place at two minutes, 51 seconds behind, leaving him five minutes, 19 seconds behind for the race.

Joao Almeida of Portugal is now in fourth, nearly eleven minutes behind (10:54), while two products of Spain, Mikel Landa (11:21) and Carlos Rodriguez (11:27), round out the top six.
