Taco Bell introduces new subscription service

Taco Bell is introducing a subscription service call the Taco Lover’s Pass.  The subscription service allows you to pay just $5.00 to $10.00 per month for a  pass lets you order one crunchy taco, soft taco, spicy potato soft taco or Doritos Locos taco per day for 30 days, every day.

The app pass is being tested at 17 locations in Tucson Arizona until November 14th, 2021.The goal is get customers to eat more  by adding more items to and order than one taco  by  encouraging those to load the app on their phone order food and  visit the restaurants on a regular basis.

Panera Bread was successful with their app launch gaining 500,000 subscribers offering unlimited coffee and tea for $8.99 a month and the first three months free.

Burger King which is owned by Restaurant Brand International launched an app offering free coffee for 3 months for $5 a month, but later discontinued the app planning to get users go to Burger King for breakfast.

“Executives on Yum’s latest earnings call said that Taco Bell loyalty members spend 35% more on their visits compared with their spending habits before joining the program.” CNBC reports-

Yum Brands (YUM)owns Taco Bell and  also owns Yum, which also owns KFC and Pizza Hut.
