Arizona police arrested a suspect, and he is now suspected of being responsible for a string of assaults on women in Surprise and Phoenix in Arizona, as well as attacks in Florida, Texas, and a violent attack in SoHo that led to the death of a woman.
Arizona Police say that Raad Almansoori tried to steal a car outside a Starbucks. He stabbed the woman multiple times as he attempted to steal her car. He was also involved in another stabbing incident at McDonald’s on Sunday morning. Hours later, he was arrested by authorities in Scottsdale.
While in custody, Almansoori reportedly told the police to Google SoHo 54 Hotel. A suspect had left SoHo hotel wearing the leggings that belonged to a murdered woman. He had left his pants in the hotel room as they were reportedly covered with blood. The suspect is believed to be Almansoori.
Raad Almansoori also lived in Florida and Texas, and police are investigating unsolved crimes in these states. He had arrived in New York in late January. Information from the victim’s credit card use shows that the suspect had bought a ticket to Arizona, where he allegedly stabbed two victims.
NYPD officers have reached Arizona and have asked for his extradition to New York. Police believe that he allegedly killed Denisse Oleas-Arancibia in a SoHo hotel room. A housekeeper discovered her on February 8.
New York Police Department Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said that the victim was found with plastic fragments embedded in her head. This indicated that she had endured violence. The NYPD identified 26-year-old Raad Almansoori as the murder suspect as he was caught on camera leaving the hotel wearing leggings that belonged to the murder victim.
During a press conference on Tuesday, the NYPD Chief of Detectives provided detailed information about Almansoori’s multi-state arrest history, although he had not been arrested in New York. The chief detective also said that the suspect had allegedly admitted to hurting “three additional girls in Florida.”
