On Saturday, the most discussed wedding of the year took place at a sprawling horse farm in North Salem. Bills Gates’ daughter Jennifer and equestrian Nayer Nasser tied the knot and extravagant wedding celebrations followed. About 300 guests were invited; however, each of them had to comply with the vaccine mandate.
With the pandemic that is still ongoing, the couple decided to make the event as ‘safe’ as possible. All the guests needed to be fully vaccinated and test negative on the celebration day. The test was mandatory for entry into the party.
A day earlier, 25-year-old Jennifer married Nayel Nassar in a quiet Muslim ceremony. The Chicago-based groom, born to Egyptian parents, was raised in Kuwait. He and Jennifer attended Stanford, where they met at an equestrian circuit.
More than 300 family members and friends attended the wedding party, “Which is why we made the decision that all guests must be fully vaccinated and receive a negative test result prior to the wedding,” Bill Gates revealed to Vogue.
The wedding weekend at the estimated $25 million farm was eventful with a religious ceremony, a civil ceremony, and a wind-down brunch on Sunday. Jennifer looked stunning in every outfit she donned; she wore at least three gowns over the weekend. The catering was done by well-known New York City restaurants and the Coldplay band played the music and gave performances. Marcy Blum was the event planner, who reigned with a display of the finest fashion, food, and music.
“It’s been a challenging year, both collectively with the pandemic and for our families going through transitions,” said the eldest child of Bill Gates at a Vogue interview. “But our love for one another has been a constant. Being able to celebrate our wedding with our closest friends and family was a dream come true.”
In a beautiful picture posted of Instagram, Jennifer is seen walking down the aisle with her new husband after the “I Do” ceremony. The pictures Melinda watching them with pride.
