Starbucks is spreading holiday cheer early this year. The coffee chain is revealing its seasonal menu and four new festive cups on Friday, November 6, almost 7 weeks before Christmas. Starbucks said this year’s theme, “Carry the Merry” will be printed on two of the cups. There is a free giveaway of a reusable cup on Friday at restaurants or through delivery in the US to customers who order a seasonal drink. Their baristas would also wear seasonal red aprons.
“Our thoughts behind the cups this year was about people carrying them out in the world as messengers of joy,” Jeff Wilkson, creative director, Starbucks said in a press release. He also mentioned that he wanted customers’ orders to be a “brief moment that they can look forward to.” Source CNN
This year’s seasonal drinks include Christmas blend coffee, peppermint mocha, toasted white chocolate mocha, eggnog latte, chestnut praline latte and caramel brûlée latte. The seasonal foods include bakery goods such as a newly developed cranberry orange scone. Some old favorites like cake pop, snow cone and sugar plum cheese danish will also feature in the menu.
Seasonal menus help drive sales as customers place their regular orders and pick these seasonal specials as holiday additions.
