San Antonio Spurs guard Devin Vassell is scheduled to have an MRI on his injured groin on Friday.
Coach Gregg Popovich said after Thursday’s win at Phoenix that Vassell likely will be out for “a little while.”
Vassell scored 17 points in 17 minutes before exiting the 132-121 victory against the Suns.
The fourth-year veteran is averaging 19.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists through five starts.
Vassell, 23, has averaged 11.4 points and 3.7 rebounds in 176 games (76 starts) since being drafted 11th overall by San Antonio in 2020.
