On Monday, Hilaria Baldwin posted a photo of herself, her 5 children: Carmen, Raphael, Leonardo, Romeo and Eduardo along with a photo of herself with a new born baby on Instagram. She put the caption “7 heart emoji Alec.” The newborn has to be Alec Baldwin’s seventh child. His first child is a daughter with ex-wife Kim Basinger. She is a 25-year old named Ireland.
Although the Baldwin’s had not publicly announced that they were expecting a baby, a week ago, Hilaria had posted a short video, where she is cuddling a new born. She had titled it “Gratitude.”
On September 8, 2020, she had announced the birth of her fifth child, Eduardo. Earlier on, she had also spoken about two miscarriages.
In late December, Hilaria had been rebuked by internet sleuths who raised questions about how she promoted her Spanish heritage and accent. She clarified that although she was born in Boston; she had visited Spain often in the holidays and felt comfortable with her Spanish heritage. She had apologized on Instagram and had taken a break from posting on social media.
On February 5, she wrote that she had spent the previous month listening, reflecting and asking herself how she could learn and grow. She mentioned that her parents and raised her, together with her brother, with two cultures: American and Spanish. She said that she had felt “a true sense of belonging to both.”
She also agreed that she could have given a better explanation about her deep connections to both the cultures and that she was proud of the way she was raised. She added that she and her husband were raising their kids with the “same love and respect for both.”
Baldwin however never mentioned that another child was on the way. It is not clear if the baby is theirs, born through a surrogate or adopted as it’s been less than six months since Eduardo was born.
CBS News had asked Baldwin for more information but hasn’t as yet got any response.
