Police are searching for a person who may be a serial killer in Stockton, California. The police departmemt reports, “Our investigators have reviewed many hours of video surveillance. They believe they located a “person of interest” in this investigation. Please see the attached photograph.”
The killer follows people at night who are walking in dark areas. What we know so far about the five people who were killed. The murders have occured since July,2022.
While the victims are all hispanic, the police does not think it is race related.
21-year-old Jonathan Hernandez Rodriguez
52-year-old Juan Cruz
52-year-old Lorenzo Lopez was shot just before 2 a.m. on the 900 block of Porter Avenue, police report.
35-year-old Paul Alexander Yaw Yaw was shot just after midnight – around 12:30 a.m. – at a park in the 5600 block of Kermit Lane, police reported
43-year-old Salvador William Debudey Jr. was shot around 9:49 p.m. in a parking lot on the 4900 block of West Lane police report.
“These incidents are occurring in the hours of darkness, these incidents are occurring where folks are alone by themselves, not in lit areas,” Stockton police chief Stanley McFadden said on Friday.

The City of Stockton has announced a reward of $75,000 and CrimeStoppers has added another $10,000 for information that results in an arrest in this case.
