Samsung Electronics Co. said that it will have a live-streamed event to introduce its upcoming premium device, which is expected to be called the Galaxy S24, on January 17 in San Jose, California. All that is promised in the launch teaser is that “Galaxy AI is coming.” In the past, to differentiate themselves, Samsung and other smartphone manufacturers have focused on advancements in flexible displays and camera technology. However, 2024 looks to be the year that more AI capabilities take center stage.

The main focus at CES next week will be on AI phones and chips. Samsung appears to be the first major brand to jump into the game, teasing a new flagship product with the slogan “Galaxy AI is Coming.”

Qualcomm chips have long been a feature of Samsung cell phones sold in the US. The newest gadgets, which are probably going to be called the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, might make use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Series 8 Gen 3 for Android smartphones. Samsung typically uses Qualcomm’s newest chips among the first phone manufacturers.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is executing in the background on your phone for several purposes, such as identifying music, improving camera quality, translating text into another language, and assisting with games. On-device AI is another name for this. Real-time language translation on mobile devices is another application of artificial intelligence (AI), and Qualcomm Technologies was among the first in the market to launch this function. Additionally, it makes Snapchat lenses quicker and smoother, enhancing user experiences. In addition, mobile phone cameras use AI for a variety of tasks like switching between lenses, low-light photography, super-resolution, and getting the best picture. Source: Qualcomm
