Sabrina Ionescu had 23 points and seven rebounds to lead the New York Liberty to an 87-74 victory over the visiting Indiana Fever on Wednesday night.

The win snapped a seven-game losing streak for the Liberty after a 1-0 start to the season. Indiana has lost its last two games.

Rebecca Allen scored 17, and Stefanie Dolson and Natasha Howard each had 16 points for the Liberty. Dolson added eight rebounds and seven assists to lead the team in both categories.

Indiana dominated the second quarter, outscoring the Liberty 33-17 in the period. Indiana led 47-40 at the half.

Just 24 hours earlier, the Fever blew an 11-point lead to the Washington Mystics. On Wednesday night, Indiana led by 12 at one point. The game was tied at 68 early in the fourth quarter. New York finished the game on a 19-6 run to get back into the win column.

Guard Kelsey Mitchell led the way for the Fever, scoring 17 points and assisting on four baskets. But Mitchell shot just 5-for-16 from the field.

As a team, Indiana shot 32.9 percent.

The Liberty have dealt with turnover problems all season, and it didn’t change Wednesday. New York gave the ball away 12 times, leading to 14 points the other way.

The Liberty went 20-for-24 from the line and hit 11 of 33 3-pointers.
