Kaley embodied a blend of a formidable assassin and an anxious wife and mother, while David excelled with a precise balance of honesty and humor. When a work commitment causes Emma to forget their anniversary, she proposes introducing role play to excite their relationship. They arrange to rendezvous in a pub and assume the roles of complete strangers for the evening. However, an unforeseen third party, Bob (played by Bill Nighy), is poised to provide an unanticipated twist to the situation for Emma.
The Brackett family is a typical middle-class suburban American household. Dave, the father, is an architect portrayed by David Oyelowo.
