Celebrity Actor Roger Moore passed away in Switzerland from Cancer. Roger Moore was the 46 when he took the role as James Bond, the oldest actor ever hired for the 007 series.
The previous actor “Sean Connery” was 33 when he took the role of James Bond starring in seven Bond films between 1962 and 1983.
Moore was a skilled actor who eloquently acted in the James Bond Series with his charming attributes coupled with some of the most beautiful leading ladies, such as Britt Ekland, Maud Adams, Tany Roberts and Grace Jones, to name a few.
Moore made a name for himself acting in many TV Roles such as Ivanhoe (1958—1959), The Alaskans (1959—1960), Maverick (1960—1961), The Saint (1962—1969), and The Persuaders! (1971—1972)
Sean Connery was original film character and started the role at 33 years old. Roger Moore took over in his first acting debut as James Bond in the movie in “Live and Let Die (1973).” Moore acted in six more films: The Man with the Golden Gun (1974), The Spy Who Loved Me (1977), Moonraker (1979), For Your Eyes Only (1981), Octopussy (1983), and A View to a Kill (1985). He was appointed UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 1991, and was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003 for his “services to charity”. In 2008, the French government appointed Moore a Commander of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Roger Moore’s star plaque was placed on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Mr. Moore wed four times. His first wife was Doorn Van Steyn, whom he met while attending acting school in acting school in London. Dorothy Squires was his second wife and hen he divorced her and married for Luisa Mattioli,. when making an Italian film, and finally divorced in 1968. The following year he married Ms. Mattioli, they had three children together. In 2002 he married the Swedish-born Kristina Tholstrup, who is Roger Moore’s surviving wife. Roger Moore has two sons, Christain and Geoffrey and a daughter, Deborah.
